    i fed elmo alot: rats, fruits, veggies, and chicken. Today she ate a wean rat and a handful of fruits and a few veggies. she downed it all and then tried to eat my flash light (cuz it has egg goo from my snake eggs on it) and my hands smelled like rat so she kept looking at me funny... her belly...

    here is elmo in her new collar... elmo is taking this trip better then i thought she would. she hasnt been scared or shy, which is usually what she does shes in a new environment. i did forget her rats tho :( i was freaking out because she hasnt been wanting to eat unless they're rats in her...

    i dont kno if she is a hybrid, when she was a baby she had so little red on her that i didnt believe she was a red, shes more red now. ive ask many people and they all say shes a low red, red tegu. i guess ill see as she gets older. i cant wait to for her to get to the point where she likes it...

    elmo went outside in the yard for the 1st time, she was scared and wouldnt move away from me. hopefully after a few more times she will b ok with it :)

    ive had a few discussions about tegus ability to love on this and other tegu sites. often people say that they used to us and its not love blah blah blah.. i think tegus can love thus they care and have empathy of us, not many will agree but i think yr tegu knew u were having a bad day...
