    One doesn't simply handle a Tegu, you have to learn the body language of your Tegu and you have to learn to disengage. You wont be able to just pick him up and you'll be best friends. First you have to handle him in small amounts then work your way up. After that your Tegu will become calm.

    Well whenever you let her walk around wear thick wool stocks or something so the bites don't hurt as much. Also try putting bitter and sour tasting things on your feet to discourage biting.

    For the record, I've never had Baragon bite me. I think the only aggressive thing he might have ever done was when he tried to tail whip me.
