Big cypress mulch problem.

Go to www.kingsnake.com and go to the classified section. Look under bedding for a company called boas and balls. They sell 100% cypress mulch that ships for a reasonable...

    Rolling Over

I wonder if I could put him on aspen shavings. That is what I use for my blue tongue skink. If it is eaten it can be broken down more easily in the gut. Any advice?

    Rolling Over

OK I know what the problem was, he was indeed impacted. He took the largest poop I have ever seen today. It was all large pieces of Cypress Mulch. I have no idea how he could have even gotten pieces this big in his mouth. He is not fed on the substrate other than crickets that are in his cage...

    Rolling Over

Also he came from Bobby so I doubt he has any parasites.

    Rolling Over

He has been pooping so I don't think he is impacted. I cleaned up a large poop out of his cage today. Also no problems with walking which sometimes happens when impacted. He ate a little so I don't know what is going on. I will keep watching him closly. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

    Rolling Over

I saw some weird behavior today and I am concerned. I offered food and Norton refused to eat. He also rolled completly over on his back and then back to his belly three times, much the way a dog looks when he is trained to roll over. Is this normal behavior? Should I be worried. Does not appear...

    He ate a Fuzzy

He ate his first Fuzzy yesterday. It was funny how he tried to kill an already dead mouse. I guess he was just used to the pinkies and it was something new. He is growing like a weed. Not bad for only having him five weeks. He is already 3 times bigger than when I got him, plus all the green...

i need some advice (long post)

I am in the same boat as you. I lay down a piece of cage carpet down over the substrate, which takes up about half of the tank. I put his food bowl down on that in the middle. If he happens to sling or drag any off it lands on the carpet and thus does not get substrate stuck to it. It seems to...

    questions fellow members

Here is what I have been doing (which is probably wrong). I work during the day and mine, which I got about two and a half weeks ago, is not out in the morning or in the afternoon when I get home. You can't take him out of his hide so here is what I do. He is on Cypress mulch bedding, so I lay a...

Feeding Pictures, July 2, 2009---Someone Ate A Pinky!

I can not get mine to eat a pinky. I have tried for the last two days with no luck. What size are the pinkies you are feeding. Mine are around an inch long. I thought they might be too big, but yours looks to be about that size. Are you doing anything in particular? How many times a day are you...
