    Dropped tails

    I have read that tegus can drop their tails. Is this a big problem that one need to watch out for? Handle in a special way maybe?

    Where can I buy PVC boards for an enclosure?

    I just saw that my local Home Depot has 0.5x4x8 sheets at 70 dollars per sheet. When using pvc sheets what do you use to frame out the enclosure? I didn’t see anything that looked like 2x2’s like you do in wood. I would like to have it all pvc. Any suggestions or are there plans I can get?

    New large enclosure design

    What type of wood did you use for construction and will it be water resistant for the humidity long term? I can not find and pvc board locally and not sure what to use that will be waterproof. Thanks for any help.

    Misting system for a tegu enclosure

    Is this something that is recommended for an enclosure? I am in Florida but indoor humidity in summer can Hoover around 40 percent with air conditioner. So not sure if spraying daily or adding a misting system would be better. Any thoughts Thanks

    Apcages versus Kages enclosures

    Does anyone know the difference in the two enclosures offered for sale by them. They seem to be similar but Kages are about 400 dollars more than Apcages for the 8x4x4 model. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Tegu proofing my back yard

    I want to make my backyard Tegu safe so do I need to extend the fence below the surface to keep one from digging out? I currently have a 6’ privacy fence but since they like to dig not sure if I need to excape proof the fence further? Any other things you need to do? Thanks

    IP address banned

    When I try to access some of the sites discussion I get a message that it can not be opened my IP Address has been banded. I am on my cell phone on the T-Mobile network. Is there a way to get it to work? I like to read when the am not at home.

    Heat sources for enclosures

    I live in florida. On an island outside of st Pete. Doesn’t get cold here but can drop down to the 40s for a few nights. I will be keeping him inside.

    Heat sources for enclosures

    I am starting to put together my enclosure for a new Tegu. I will be ordering an AP Cage and not sure if I need a heat mat attached to the bottom as well as a heat lamp for the basking site. Any suggestions?
