I was just wondering where everyone gets thier: mice, rats, chicks, and any other whole prey you feed you tegu.

Need to order some more food before he wakes up from his winter nap :)

I was also wondering about the nutritional value of rats vs mice vs chicks (whats best for my tegu)

I get mine from a local breeder. As for nutritional value: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rodentpro.com/qpage_articles_03.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.rodentpro.com/qpage_articles_03.asp</a><!-- m -->

I've used them to resale before and they are pretty good, some ppl have had issues in the past but a great deal of people do not.

I am not a fan of Rodent Pro. I use American Rodent and their product is very high quality IMO. Plus, if you order in bulk like I do and live within the free shipping zone you save a ton of money.

Any one have experiece with rodent pro? (how is the quality of thier feeders)

Yes, I thought they were great. You have to buy in bulk to make it worth it though because shipping is the same price no matter if you buy 100 or 500. It's based on a certain box size. I bought large pinkies, peach fuzzies, and fuzzies. They were in great condition and looked healthy. Their bodies were in tact and Weaver has no complaints! Compared to the frozen mice I bought at the White Plains expo, they are amazing.

This looks interesting. I live in NJ so the free shipping sounds great!

I have used several different sources for frozen rodents including RodentPro, American Rodent Supply, Mice on Ice, SAS, and Big Cheese. ARS does have free shipping to my area and ordering is quick and painless. Their packaging is not as good as some of the others but the feeders are clean. RodentPro's product is excellent and customer service is good but a little slow. Their shipping charges are pretty stiff. Mice on Ice and SAS have great products and their packaging is excellent and convenient, but they are a bit pricey. Big Cheese has been wonderful to our rescue as far as donations of rodents and their "C" grade product is as good as other's grade "A". I always recommend them if you are within reasonable shipping distance from Texas.

If you are in the free shipping area I would recommend ARS. Their prices on large hairless mice is terrific! They are not really large, more like medium, but the price can't be beat.
