It is a Sungazer. Cordylus Giganteus , yes I looked it up but did know what it's common name was first. Kinda cool looking little armor suited guy hunh?

That guy is sweet. but the best out of tge cordylus family is the cordylus cataphractus. like the little guy doing his defense mechanism in my avatar

I doing a little reserch right now and yes, people do own these, but they are extremly hard to find due to rarety. SO if ever you would come across one, expect it to be quite pricey.

the cordylus cataphractus are illegel to export so you rarel ever see them for sale. they do have other species or cordylus for sale on kingsnake. but none as cool as my lil avatar buddy. i saw a pair of them for sale on ks they were going for 500$ each

Oh duhh. I know what an armadillo lizard is and I knew the genus was Cordylus.. I just now made the connection that this was a Cordylus.. whatever. Lol. I knew it looked kinda familiar.

I used to spend my spare time helping out at the pet store when I was a kid. They had one of those in stock for quite a while. It took a long time for someone to buy it because nobody knew much about it and it was so expensive (50.00). I used to handle it all the time, he was very docile. If they weren't so costly now, I would really like one. He was around two feet long and very impressive.

thats a giant sungazer cordyllus giganteus there been sum imports recently in europe and they r around 2000 a piece
