can any one identify this lizard He was caught in riverside county ca. there is a lot of blue belly's in the area this guy is bigger and spinier and has odd colors. purple's yellows and blues I think he might be a variation of a spiny lizard but I have not seen enough of them to be sure.[attachment=0]

Thanks Marlene I turned him back loose where I found him and have been back to explore the area and have seen several more.
When fired up from being in the sun they are quite striking with the stripes and bars and multiple colors.
