Bobby, I was wondering if your tegus are showing any signs of breeding behaviour? Since you have some out. In one of your pictures I saw one trying to chase a tegu maybe a female I dont know. But I was just curious and If there starting to feed again. I would also have too say that your tegus are awesome in patterns and colors.

I have not seen any breeding yet, it is a little early. They were all out today and about half of them have started feeding.

As for the two you are talking about, they were running to me and not running after each other.

Yes nipping is involved in breeding, males will even bite the females tails a hold on while popping the jowls. Females are well known for biting the jowls of the males. So it does happen if they are courting.
