This is the cuban rock iguana that I picked up a few weeks ago at the last White Plains reptile expo. I can't seem to get a pic of him when he isn't about to shed but I hope you enjoy anyway.

Are these common where you live? I have never met anyone here who has one. They are really cool.

What about their temper? Compared to the green iguana?

Isdrake, they are common enough but way pricier than green iguanas. Most tend to tame down better than a green plus they are bulkier than a green.

he is correct only major difference is greens are aboreal and rock or rhinos are terrestrial also they are somewhat common i mean you wont find to many in petshops mostly through breeders.

They told me he is about a year old and he is 2' long (from snout to tail tip).

That would be cool but I think it may be a female. They told me it's a boy but it doesn't appear to be upon closer inspection. We'll have to wait and see hahaha.
