Ok guys I need help my tegu is 2.5 feet long and 11months. I just got him a new cage, it is 5ft long 3ft wide 6ft deep. His humidity is always 60-70%. His substrate is Cyprus. He sheds perfectly normal has all his toes and tail never had a stuck shed. He eats normally as well as poops. He's very tame he's not aggressive doesn't tail whip. His cage is currently glass and metal(his old cage he was able to rip thru screen and Crack glass with his tail when excited so we switched to glass and metal top. He stopped tail whipping all together. I don't know whst else to do...all he does is try and get out and in doing so he is hurting his nose. I talked to my vet and he recommended plexiglass with holes against the top so when he does try and get out he's rubbing again plastic. Any input would be helpful I'm lost at what to do for him? ALSO TO ADD HE ONLY DOES THIS WHEN I'M IN THE ROOM WITH HIM!! ONCE I LEAVE HE'S FINE -.- SHOULD I MOVE HIS CAGE OUT OF MY ROOM?
