new to the board

hello. may name is doug. my wife and sons and i have a large red tegu. she was a gift from my sons gung fu teacher. he recieved her when he made student instructor. we have had "vagita" for 2 years. only one intestinal blockage and we have learned from this and she is doing very well. she is about 5 yrs old. she weighed a little over 8 lbs a year and a half ago. and if i can get her to stay still for half a second she is about 44" long. currently she is sorta hibernating. she killed a mouse today and hasnt eaten it yet. might get her some kiwis (her favorite) she will push averything else aside for those. so ill post pics of vagita after i get more familiar with this site. (pic posting and such) we are in the seattle area with a cat, vagita and about 100 fish. i post on many boards and this is the first time i have found good info on the web for these creatures...thanks doug :crazy
