New Tegu Diet Question

I just got my little guy last week. He seems to be doing well, he's a bit flighty, but is getting better. I've noticed that he doesn;t eat too much though. I try and feed him every morning, but he just takes a couple of bites and quits. I know it's winter, and some are hibernating, but he is up every day for several hours. Should I be trying anything different? Right now I'm feeding ground turkey with vitamins and calcium. I tried feeding some mouse fuzzies but he didn't seem to go for it.

The thing about it is, even tegus that are not hibernating still slow down on feeding in winter. It is 110% normal for him to be slow on feeding right now.
