milk thistle/fatty liver

We had something that we used to call milk weed ..

It seems like it had pods on it with seeds that would blow away in the wind ..

You would break the stem and a thick milky sap would ooze out ..

Cows or deer wouldn`t eat it and I wouldn`t try to feed it to your Tegu ..

It was said that if you put the sap on warts it would in time take them off ..

There are many many plants that are not suitable food for Tegus as many plants are poisonous..

I know that alot of plants are poisonous to reptiles but htought i would ask. I hear that other people give it to reptiles and its good for the liver. I guess it cleanse it and removes toxins and cures fatty liver disease?

It is used as an astringent in people to spice up a Liver into working harder .

Also used is golden seal . ...Up here in the north we use Oregon Grape ..

The best astringent for your tegu ,in my opinion would be Dandelion ,cranberry,or grape fruit...
