Male after breed

My male Arg Blk and Wht bred with my female tegu. After that, I found he lost the interest in the food. And only eat one small rat every 3 days. But before bred, he ate like a monster

I just wondering anyone knows this is normal?

I have not breed Tegus befor but I have breed other reptils and from what I have seen the males either slow down or stop feeding the femals start eating more. Curtis
