I got a Argentine B & W about a week ago. In that week it has had one stool and eaten only 4 crickets. He does seem to sleep a lot, but at times is active. What are symptoms of internal parasites? Could that be the problem? Is there any treatment that can be done without going to a vet? Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

He may just be settling in. During their first week they typically won't eat as they are adjusting to their new environment.

Brian, it is still winter, and he is also new to his home. This would have a lot to do with him not feeding right, but I will say if you think he is not healthy, or has parasites it is best to see a vet.

Honestly if you have only had him for a week, it is probably him still settling in like Bobby and Kazzy have said, and also it is infact still January where most tegus that hibernate slow down and may not even eat at ALL (like bobbies) until around march-april...so i really wouldn't worry unless you see signs of health issues like him looking real malnurished and things like that. But then again im no vet so if you are worried you can take him in.
