Humidity levels in larger enclosure

First time owner here. I know that humidity should be kept between 75 and 90%. My question is it tends to be lower in the warm side and higher in the cooler side. Is that generally how it is or should it be around the same level for the whole enclosure. size is 8x4x4. thanks!

Doesn't have to be uniform. Heat lamps will naturally burn off moisture, so having a relatively well sealed enclosure helps counter that and keep the ambient humidity high. There's a number of ways to keep relative humidity higher with a combination of restricted ventilation (also keeping ventilation on the sides of the enclosure - not the top). misting frequency (automated misters or humidifiers), substrate moisture retention, and even plants can help.

Spraying down the hide also helps a lot as they will spend at least half of their time in it. I put a full bale of sphagnum moss inside my gu's hide which is nice and soft for him, but also retains moisture really well when I spray it down a few times a week.

To what Rant said, I advocate for a moistened hide with sphagnum or even peat moss.
