how long before trying to bond

I just got my new Argentine tegu Razor yesterday and was wondering how long I should wait before bonding with him I have had other reptiles before and I usually wait about a week before taking them out but Didn't know if Tegus are different what to start the bonding process early hes a yearling by the way

Let him get used to you, his new home/enclosure, and everything else. Give him AT LEAST a few days to do as he pleases. Make sure he stabilizes in terms of temps and feeding. Then you can start to bring him out and handle him. Just always be aware of how he's behaving and reacting to you and his surroundings.
