do tegus fight when housed togther? or do they get along pretty good? cause I thought about getting another one but I always remembered what happened when I put to bearded dragons together all they did is fight.
Tegus are weird. When I introduced the kids, all they did was lick, walk around, and snuggle eachother so much that I can't get one out of the cage without the other one. They are inseparable.
This a an old topic but.. Is it ok to house two males together, and being careful to watch them if they fight? Or should if only be two females or a male and female together.

Heres one link. Do a quick search there are a TON of threads asking the same question your asking and its all answered there Just search " Two Tegu's Cage " or something along those lines.
But to answer your question, yes you can house them together. Make sure you watch them closely for the first few weeks and at the slightest sign of something going wrong split them up. You don't want to be paying huge vet bills for two injured tegus or even worse just one very injured tegu and a dead one. Those are the worst possible cases of course but still.
I currently have a red and a black&white together and they are fine.
