3 weeks ago i rescued a red female allost 1 year old. She had a little shedding problem that was fixt in a day but the guy i got it from told me she had problems with prolapse. I took her anyway and stil trying realy hard to get her healthy again. I'm been reading everything i can find on prolapse and tken her to the vet 2 times. The guy before me took her to a vet aswel. Last time he stitched her cloaca to make is les easy for everything to come out but no result. She is been tested on parasites twice now and nothing, cleaned and stiched, antiboitics but no results. I put her in a bath and push/massage it back in on daily basis now. I dont think its getting better and its been going on for 3 weeks with me, not sure how ling she had it before so i'm getting a little desperate. Please any help?
The vet told me to change her diet to a powder mixed with water and a little parrafine along with anibiotics.
She had rat pups and organ meat with the previous owner. Hope to hear soon

She’s prolapsing daily? Sound horrible, she may have a internal birth defect

sounds horrible.... I'm no expert or had any problem with this myself but I would stay away from whole food and stick to a diet that you think will be easier to digest ( soft meats and organs, eggs, fillet fish) and get the vitamins and nutritian in via plenty of suppliment on each meal..... good luck.

I am thinking metabolic bone disease due to low calcium diet! Might want to look at full body x-ray because a blood test might show a normal calcium. Last, if this is the case expect a long haul before recovery. My guy was not getting whole pray and caused problems for him. 10 months latter and he acts like a new guy.
