Heat Cable

i just bought the an 8ft enclosure (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.animalplastics.com/terrestrial/T70/t70.htm">http://www.animalplastics.com/terrestrial/T70/t70.htm</a><!-- m -->)...and i was wondering if i ran two 4ft lengths of heat cable around the top would that work.... or would the flexwatt heat tape work?

If this if for heating a Tegu Cage, I wouldnt go with cable or flexwatt.

I use Halogen Flood lights in combination with MVB bulbs for my tegus cage, most of the heat for the basking spot comes from the halogen bulbs.
