Anyone know what ones might be available in Canada? The average price range for them? What do they usually eat? Are they herbivores, omnivores, etc? Any good forums that people are willing to share would be really appreciated.

Also could one live comfortably in a 8'x4'x2' cage? (LxWxH)

Anything really to be honest lol What are the more commonly available? I LOVE the look of Ctenosaura similis but I don't know anything about them. Don't suppose you know of any forums or anything like that?

hmmmm that would be the black iguana. I dont know of any forums on the specificaly, check wiki pedia ect, to see how close their diet and range ect is to any other iguana from that region and i think these are primarily in mexico... Dont quote me on the native to mexico part, but its sitting in my mind for some reason. someone might have to correct me.

I just found a add in one of the Canadian website I go to. It is supposed to be a unsexed juvi Ctenosaura pectinata , but in my opinion looks more like Ctenosaura similis, either way I would love to have the animal though. I'll post a picture of the baby and maybe some one can give their thoughts.

EDIT: Here is the picture.

A good place to start learning would be here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.westcoastiguana.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.westcoastiguana.com/</a><!-- m -->

I always thought Ctenosaura needed more head room as some like to climb. The 8x4x2 doesn't have nearly enough height in my opinion.

To me that does look like a hatchling petinata. Here's some good info on them and you could try contacting the breeder as he's been breeding them for awhile now. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.deerfernfarms.com/Spiny-tailed_Iguanas.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.deerfernfarms.com/Spiny-tailed_Iguanas.htm</a><!-- m -->

Also Jane- MMRR-Jif could probably help you out in this department as well.

Thanks Puff! :) I'll try emailing the guy at DFF. What height would you recommend? 4'? 5'?

I actually had been to the West Coast Iguana site and they said the min adult cage size is, 4'x4'x3' so at least I have a starting place.

Anymore links?
