I think it would be cool if there was a columbian gold tegu crossed with an argentine b&w. It would be awesome to have a gold columbian tegu with the calm disposition of an argentine. some people think its possible some dont. does anyone have any factual information on this? if not whats your opinion?

I had a tegu that I rescued then gave to a reptile rescue here locally. I had him for a little while and posted some pics. People here were stumped to really identify him hence I named him Stumper. He looked like a Col. but never showed any aggression. The rescue I gave him to loves him and he hangs with another arg tegu that they rescued.

Stumper is the small Dude

I kinda regret letting him go. Now I have one of Bobby's though. I just wasn't sure I wanted a col. and since that was the gen consensus I decided to let him go. I talked and met the rescue people (very nice). Also I had zero experience with reptiles and was a bit nervous.....7 year old little girl in the house to think about.

I know that with pythons at least people have crossed retics and burms, and have had viable offspring. I don't see why columbians and b&w's couldn't cross. I mean some on here have crossed reds and blues and extremes. Sounds like a breeding project to me. :-D

I have never seen or heard of a Colombian being crossed with any other tegus.
