Captains beds for enclosure?

Going down craigslist I saw some pretty cheap used furniture, one being a queen sized captains bed. I remember seeing someone have an enclosure under there bed. What kind of adjustments would I have to make, or more importantly, would this work for an extreme tegu?
Thanks!

I believe the bed that was made with a cage underneath was rather high and presumably the cage was priority and turning it into a sort of 'bunk bed ' on top was secondary. A sturdy enclosure with all necessary requirements and added supports , once built, can then be modified on top to hold a 'bunky board ' and mattress. Perhaps even with a small ladder up one side to climb up easily. Just remember heat rises so you would have a rather warm bed even in the summer when you may not necessarily want additional heat. Just my two cents :)
