Bulb question

Would it be possible for me to use bulbs from a hardware store as opposed to a reptile brand bulb?, if so are there any drawbacks?

Incandecent Basking Bulbs, General Lighting, or UVB Lighting?

I would use a halogen flood bulb for heating (if that's what you want). They are very effective bulbs and last a long time.

Yes, but you must use a UV bulb, for heating they will work though.
