Blue Tegu and Femoral Pores?

I see that Lucky has what appear to be femoral pores, similar to what bearded dragons have. I'm wondering, do both males and females get these as would be the case with beardies?

I just read on a website that male tegus have more femoral pores and "pre-anal" pores...is this true? If so, I think I might have a boy

Males develop buttons (spurs) at no earlier than 2 feet long, but they should be visible by 3 feet.

I just examined the 6 biggest "hatchlings" and none of them have any bumps, yet.

These are actually on his thighs though, little black spots. I wish I could get him to hold still for a pic.

I had the same problem. They don't like being backwards or upside down. I think the only features are the buttons on either side of the cloaca.
