I have heard rumors about this. Whats realy going on? Thhis can't possibly happen. Too many keepers love them. Thats like taking away tropical fish from the fish trade.

Well, I think in Montana, they have taken away the goldfish, too! Since I don't live there, don't quote me on that!

The last I heard, the USFWS had accumulated a lot of input and now is in the stage of organizing and reviewing the info they have on hand. The ban is not on ownership, but transportation between states, ie The Lacey Act. There is another bill in the House regarding importation. However, Virginia is working with USHS to write some new regulations. It's usually a state by state issue.
