ive just bought a 3ft b&w tegu.i have had him 10 days now.hes not eating very well at the moment so amy tips to temp him would be a big help.cheers cath
Basking temps should be 95-100 F, or 35-40 C. That is the surface temp (not air) measured with a TempGun. Ambient on the warm side 80-85 F, 75 F on the cool side.
His temps are fine, that is the first thing i checked.Maybe he just needs more time to settle down.He is lively enough so i dont think it is anything to seious

This is a pic of his viv the day before i got him,it now has a guard and uv light.i was told by his previous owner he didnt need uv,so he went without it for a few days untill i learnt he did.hes viv is 6ft long,2ft high and 3ft deep.im not to sure what the humidity is but i spray him and his viv every morning.he also has a large litter tray filled with water to soak himself in.
