Attack:S

can someone help me
my tegu suddenly started to attack me if i open his/her cage:S
what did i do wrong?
i never feed him in his cage, and he das never done it before:S
I handle and pick him up every day, but i dont want him to bite me:S
he also attacks my toes when he is out of his cage, and i walk by..
What can i do to make him stop this behavior?

Are you letting him eat as much as he wants? He just sounds to be after food.
