He or she is roughly a foot long the enclosure is 36in long 18in wide 16in deep

Many things are wrong here. A mall enclosure will put them on the defensive. Also, reaching down to lift them is frightening, especially to juveniles. Lastly, even at this small body size, it needs a larger enclosure. By the end of its first year, it will/should be around 3 ft in total length.

This is a very temporary enclosure his real enclosure has all that I needed to transport him it's the same enclosure that was just for that day tho his new enclosure has everything it needs

I am also in the process of building an enclosure of the same size and dimensions with the sliding front door that should be finished by Saturday or sunday
