A few pics of Tai

[First Time Tegu]

So I said I would take some pics of him the other day and I did but just now getting around to uploading them... got him at a bad time, just as he started shedding. As a baby he use to run a lot so it made me real cautious about letting him walk around on the floor. I tested it out the other day in a hallway where he couldn't run under anything and he did great. I'll post more once he starts bulking up more.

Also, when should I be able to tell if its a male for sure? Can anyone tell from the pics now (doubtful)?

very nice looking tegu you have! i would say female but i could be wrong. ince the hit 2' some you can start seeing the buttons othes around 2.5-3'. however on my red he is only 17-18" and i can see them clearly. btw is s/he an extreme?

She is about 9 months old, she had a very long hibernation/slow down period.

Yea her tail is very long, I swear one day when I woke up it seemed almost 3 inches longer than when I went to bed.
