3ft and growing fast!

my 3ft female who i was told was 2 years old. was very skinny when i got her. they were feeding her one mouse twice a week... since i have had her she is on a regular tegu diet and much healthier looking.. but she is shedding every 2 weeks, like a baby. why is she shedding so much i have had her for 3 months and she hasnt grown an inch just shedding constantly?

When they start to get up to 30 inches its best to go by your Tegus weight. If your Tegu is shedding, she is growing.....every 2 weeks is awesome.

Yeah...it can be hard to notice growth when you see your tegu every day. Rest assured, he's growing. It seems that at 3 feet they start to develop their girth at a faster rater than their length. That's the case with Aesop, anyway. He's an extreme giant and once he hit three feet, he started packing on the ELL BEES!

Ahh! Really? She was 3.6lbs a month ago.. she doesn't feel heavier but I can't really tell.. I see every one talking about there 10lb monster and at almost 4lbs she looks so in proportion and still chubby, I can't imagine her at 10.. but I guess that's more males.
