    I agree, the jowls make it appear to be a male! My female most definitely does not have big jowls even when she is chunky!

    Hi! I just read about this on multiple sites a few days ago and apparently it’s called “guberty!” It’s like tegu puberty and unfortunately it can last a few months! It happens a lot from what I have read and it is just a passing phase don’t worry!

    I GOT HER OUT!!! Turns out she had lifted up the air conditioner so much that she could not get out and had wedged herself and was stuck!!!     I would but the whole thing is surrounded by heavy bushes and there are other tiny lizards and other animals that live out there too :( do you have any recommendations as to what trap?

    So we took my tegu Sugar (Argentine black and white) outside, and she won’t come in now. As in whenever we get close to her she runs away super fast or lashes at us trying to bite us. We gave her a small rat and she ate it but still is being very aggressive so I was wondering what should we do...

    Hi!! I’m a Cali girl who loves her animals!!! I have 2 reptiles currently but am looking to expand my scaly family when I move out :) I have one Argentine Black and White tegu named sugar and a frilled dragon (Indonesian) named Buddy.
