I ordered the 160watt mega ray so I am good on that now. The only thing I have left is does it really cut the UV rays down when I put it over the mesh covering on my terrarium, or should i just a hole where the light shines though.

Also on this light, I have it at home but havent used it yet:

Should I just keep this out of the cage, or is it ok if I put it in there just for added UV?

i think only the glass cuts UV light
i use a mesh also to put my lamps.....u can also add tha t tube, it will work as lighting for all the terrarium and will provide more UV when ur tegu is not basking,
