Snapper?

Anyone know if fresh caught snapper is good to include into their diet? I have over a dozen extra whole fish frozen that I want to clear out.

Your gu may or may not eat it but give it a try, it won't hurt him in the least.

Snapper is fine, just make sure there are no bones.

I thought the bones were good for them to eat... what if they are crushed/blended?

No, I bought boneless frozen fillets. I'm not sure if it's okay to feed them the bones.

i feed mine mackerel, sardines and anchovies when i catch them. he loves them :mrgreen:

unfortunately, the rockfish we catch(sold as snapper on the west coast) are usually riddles with parasites so i stick with midwater species that don't lay on the bottom
