I am looking to purchase an adult pair of tegus. Is it the wrong time of year to have them shipped because of hibernation or would it be fine.
Also is there anyway to know if a Tegu has been properly hibernated of do you just take the persons word for it.

Scotty, shipping should be fine, Delta dash would be the best way. Then they would be in a controled climate.

And I am sorry, but there is no way of telling if they have been hibernated, you will need to trust the seller on that one.

I was afraid of that the seller told me that they didn't need it only slight drop in temps. I tried to correct him but he said he got it from wikipedia so it should be correct.
Oh well I'll keep looking .
