Question about new tegu

Hi every body, once again i'm french so please excuse my english.
So i have a tegu since 4 days (i have reptiles since i'm 13 years old and i m 25 now). As i read in a lot of forums i try to feed her out of her cage (she's 1month old), but she is too stressed so i put her food on a plate in her cage ( insects, chicken leaver....) but honestly i think she ate like 5 worms and 5 crickets since i got her. Should i wait? Is it normal ? I know i m a bit over stresed...
Plus she is really scarry every time i come in the room where is the cage she goes hide right away. This i think it's quiet normal, no?

It might take 2 weeks for them to settle in. I know when I first got my tegu it took that long for it to get used to me just coming up to my enclosure.

It can take a long time for a tegu to settle in, they dont really like moveing to new places. Just give him time and try to feed every day. Eventualy he will get hungry enough and eat.
