newbie, I need help!!

Hey everybody I am new to this forum.

I will soon own a black and white tegu. Someone is going to make the cage for me but he is used to making cages for birds and mammals. If anybody lives in thailand and can make a cage for me please reply. The carpenter asked me "what kind of wood should i use and what kind of spray should i use to waterproof the cage because some can be toxic to your lizard". If anybody here has an answer to this please reply!!!

I used 3/4 inch plywood and water base polyurethane. If you get the low odor stuff it airs out quicker otherwise you will need to air out the cage for a few weeks.
