How old is Chubbs

I have a juvenile b/w tegu named chubbs but i'm not too sure of his/her age. The guy from the reptile store i bought him from said he's about 4 months old. I'm not too sure though. He's around 16-19 inches. If you guys have an ideas or estimates that would be great. I just hate not knowing.

Why do you not believe the pet store about his age?

Well it took him a while to answer. This is what he said " Uhh a tegu that size umm should be about 4 months old". He could be right I just wanted a second opinion ya know since there are some experienced people on this forum.

It is pretty much impossible to tell a tegus age without a hatch date. I would guess he was fairly accurate though if I had to guess.

I see i guess that's just the risk you take not buying directly from a breeder, but i wouldn't trade him he's a good tegu. Thanks for the help.
