So for about 2 months my male blue was trying really hard to get his groove on. I did see them actually mate a couple times (against my females will). About a week or two after he calmed down and stopped droppin sperm plugs, my female started acting funny. She rearranged the entire enclosure. She moved all the cypress mulch to one side (the hot side). For almost a month now she has been dragging her backside, swaying her tail side to side. She hasn't gotten aggressive towards me. But I have caught her attacking my male a few times. Biting at his jowls and his tail. Almost seems like he's scared to have anything to do with her and as far as I know hasn't mated since she's been all crazy and woman-like. Both Tegus are almost 2 years old (I know seems too young) and did NOT hibernate.
Is it possible that they both went into tegu "heat", but just at different times?
How long does female courtship usually last?
