Help! tegu has black spot on back of head

Idk what wrong with my tegu about 6 months ago he got this black spot on his head and it is still there and is now turning reddish brown in some spots idk what to do I've put neosporin on it first r a while now, but it's still there. I thought it was a burn or something but idk how he would have gotten it thanks.

I am not a vet. My first take on this is an infected wound.

Well idk if it's infected because it doesn't bother him or anything it's just there. He got it before he started to hibernate and he woke up prob 2 months ago and it's still there. I just want it to go away so I can see his pretty whites.
