Hello everyone. My twin boys turned eight in October. One wanted a corn snake, and the other wanted a lizard. I have had many species but have always wanted to try one of the big guys, hence the Tegu. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone as now my son and I can raise the tegu. I picked the corn snake and a red tegu at the All Ohio reptile show in Columbus in September. I had to hide the snake and tegu for about three weeks until it was their birthday. This worked out pretty good since the animals could acclimate to their new living situation in relative peace. When they opened their presents, they were ecstatic. His name is Red Tank, and he is about four months old now.

Over the past month, I have been working very hard to complete a large enclosure measuring 6'X4'X3'. I modeled it after another enclosure I saw on the tegu forums. I went with a modern look as apposed to a natural theme. It still lacks some minor detailing and "furniture", but it is complete enough to share. I hope you enjoy. I have learned a lot from the members here, and hope to be able to contribute in the future.
