columbian Don't want MOUSE ... HELP ME!!!!!

okay ... my columbian about 18 inch long

don't want mouse ..

i try unfrozen one ... but nothing to do.

i stab the mouse with a knife .. nothing he smell it little bit

i open the belly of the mouse .. he lick the stuff but nothing..

i cut in two pieces and suprise .. NOTHING more.

he eat fruit ... crumble egg. deer meet

but no roden...

i try to stop feed him for 3 day and give him a mouse .. nothing..

PLEASE HELP ME .. i post some pic in another topic

go see him .. but i'm sure it's a columbian...

i already pu some crickets .. but it's seems to be scarde for the first day

and onew morning ...suprise .. no criquet he eat in the night i think .

HE ALWAY HIDE under his substrate ... that suck a lot..

i don't know how old he is...

HELP ME PLS

Hi Cadies and welcome to the site.

How big is the mouse your trying to feed your tegu? Since he's not use to having whole foods start off small with a pinkie or small hopper. Are you making sure the mouse is warm enough before offering? You can also try offering it with something he does eat like the deer meat or next to some ground turkey, eggs or anything else you know he already likes and will eat. That way he gets use to the smell, taste and the other foods may peak his interest and get him to try something new.

I hope this helps and be patient,..he'll come around. If not there are other whole foods he can eat besides mice.

kk it's not mouse but fuzzy

little fuzzy ...
today i try red fish .. alive in the bath tub .. he don't want it .

i try butter worm ... not intereset ... i make crumble egg bam .. he start eating
right after i put his bowl in the tank...

Have you tried things like quail or anything? They might be too big, but mine looooooooooooooove quail!

I have a B&W that was EXTREMELY picky when it came to eating ANYTHING. She got better as she got older. Like I said, just keep trying new things and see what happens.
