Blue Tegu's predicting a long/hard winter???

Normally our Blue Tegu's slow down but we see them almost every day during the winter. I haven't seen much of them in the past 2 weeks!!!

Ya my big male was slowing down so much i thought my temps were off, i even increased the temp becuase he did eat last week for some reason. My little one i havent seen in a week! Way different then my last little one who was still up and begging for more food. I think they know something we dont.

im confused lol my tegu is still up eatin ferociosly i wish she would go down food is getting expensive lol especialy since she is on med. rats and she is still growing i live in chicago and it has been really cold here i thought for she would go down once it started getting cold

I haven't shortened the lighting time or lowered the temps.

i think were going to have a very cold winter here our summer was cool mostly just 70-80 weather here
