So, I'm trying to buy a humidifier for my Gu, but I don't want to spend a ton of money for something I don't need. He's a free roaming indoor boy. So, I'm just wondering if you folks with more expertise could help a scrub out.

Why not just buy a cheap humidifier for human/child use? The one I have has lasted 6 years and 2 kids so far. I know it would get more use from your Tegu but I'd try that first.

Well, that's what I was going for. I was wondering what models of humidifiers for people were good. I had heard that's a thing.

If you need to get the humidity into an enclosure just pick a cool mist one that is easy to modify with a tube. If it's for a free roamer I would just use any humidifier. I also would realize that it will be almost impossible to create as much humidity as is optimal for them without an enclosure.

I used a cool most humidifier, some pvc fittings and silicon and created a diy cage humidifier for only like 50 bucks, will completely fog up my large cages, I posted pictures on one of these threads
