Hey guys, my brothers beardie that I posted about earlier was fine yesterday except for some constant digging, today when I woke up she was really lethargic, I took her out and she was really bloated, I layed her back in her basking spot and she stayed in the same spot ALL DAY until I moved her again. She's just laying around real mopey looking. I gave her a warm bath and she didn't move at all in the water, then she pooped and aside from all her veggies there was a white egg-shell(or at least it looked like an egg shell) as well, there were a couple places on it that were hard, and the rest was just kinda soft. Is she egg-bound or just depressed? Someone please tell me whats wrong with her and what I should do. Thanks.

Susan :-(

The white stuff is called urates. Urates are the animals urine, which in your case your bearded dragon.

I agree with Bentley, the white stuff you saw was most likely urate. If a lizard is egg bound, the shells will not break but rather harden as the yolks solidify, making them easier to feel. If she is eggbound, (which I would guess she's not, since it's hibernation season) you should be able to lay her flat in your hand and feel a distinctly bumpy sensation. Has she passed any feces to accompany those urates? If not, she is impacted and needs to be soaked in warm water as much as possible, and if nothing happens over the next few days, consult a herp vet.
