Under mulch a lot hibernating or not in July?

My lizard goes under her mulch at night and it takes me a min to find her in the morning for her to eat is she hibernating in July or is she just sleeping for the night I don't want to ruin her hibernation if it is

Completely normal. Tegus are active during the day often for a shorter time than people think.

My baby blue borrows and sleeps all day only really coming out to eat and bask lol. He's only a few weeks old and I believe hiding is what they do as hatchlings in the wild most of the time
