Hey guys, standard "new mom, give me advice" post, but for a specific topic that I didn't see after a quick scroll so I thought I'd get to the point and just post.
I understand that handling is more or less a no-no for the first week or 2 depending on how active they are, but I have a very young red guy who has been staying inside his hide (fine) but my question is am I okay to be lifting his hide to spray inside and check temps as long as I don't touch him?
He seems startled when I do, so I haven't today (have had him 2 days, so bare with me) I'm just really worried about monitoring temps and humidity, plus the fact of indirect interaction so he is used to me existing around him.
Any input would be helpful, thanks for anything you can share.
(P.s. I do own a handful of reptiles, but humidity is something I have less experience with, which is why I've felt so worried about watching it)
