Tegu nap time?

The little guy I got a month ago now has packed on weight, shed, and no longer looks emaciated. During late afternoon I take him from his enclosure, feed him his dinner and let him crawl around. Well today he snuck under my shirt and found a comfy spot to sleep on my collar bone.

By far this is the most terrific animal I have EVER owned. After I had to give up my cats I didn't think any creature could make me happy like they did until this cute little reptile snuggled up with me for a nap. He's fantastic. I would have paid any amount of money for him and I dearly want another. Too bad they get so darn big!

Anyways, here's a few pics of his change in weight and his nap. You can no longer see his spine which is a relief. He rested on me for a good two hours.

They really are. I know it's more or less because I'm a convenient heating pad but it's still so freakin' cute! I'm so happy I made the decision to buy one. I'd have five more by now if I had room!

They're wonderful aren't they, mine loves my shoulder but I try to stop him getting under my shirt because he scratches me silly !

When he's big I'm gonna have to wear a suit of armor haha
That's what's so cool about them! I've never seen a reptile that can tolerate or even come to like humans so well.
