Strange spot on Tegu's "lip"?

Hi all!
So, the other day I noticed that Esmeralda had a little swollen looking spot on her botten jaw around the lip area (I know they don't have real lips, but I cannot think of what else to call it). It's kinda swollen looking and p.much matches what Heather mentioned in her tegus thread (tarot). Has anyone seen anything like this or know what causes it. You can read all the nitty-gritty about Ezzy's setup in her thread, but in a nutshell its as follows:
40 gal breeder, 120w solarglow mvb+ 5.0 uvb tube , eating mostly dusted feeder insects, the occassional quail egg, pinky mouse and a few bites of ground rabbit when I can trick her into it.

In that second pic, just the bottom part of the jaw is the part I'm referring to. The little spot up above is cricket guts.

Nope, it feels very normal to me. And the spot is only on the outside of the lip, not inside at all.

None that I can see. And she is kept on dirt so there are no sticks/mulch to stick in her gums.

Yes, same clutch.

For me its been 3 days (about a day before she last shed-- noticed it on wed, and she shed fully on thursday). Heather's has shown it a bit longer, but I don't know a date. Perhaps she can chime in and let us know.

hrm maybe since before the 12th of august. his jaw is hard and he doesnt react or pull away from palpations, so im assuming it doesnt hurt. there was no trauma i saw to the jaw, he wouldnt even eat insect before it showed up. no substrate, rocks, or matter seems to be stuck in there, and theres no open lesions or puss. the only way i noticed is the changed silhouette of his jaw
