So my yealing blue who i now call Aspen (earlier i called her sky but its not to fitting) has never been really friendly. I left for a few months and my mom only fed and cleaned her, so im not surprised by her behavior. She has very slowly started to calm down and yesturday i had her out and she was climbing all over me and it seems like she it finally trusting me. After an hour of out of cage time i put her back and she was just basking. It wasn't untill dinner time that i noticed she acting different than normal. Normally she hin huffs and puffs when she sees me, this time she was scratcing at the cage lid. I thought she was hungery and put her in the feeding bin but she ate nothing. Put her back in the cage and she wanted to get out again. The did this even after lights out and as i was trying to sleeping. So i went over opened the lid and put me hand in there (without gloves which is a rarity). She hopes on my hand and dashes up my arm and lays down there. I was shocked the day before she bit at the glove for no reason today she wanted to be with me. I felt bad but it was late and i had to go to bed, she did not like me putting her back in, but once i did she went into her little nest box and went right to sleep.

This tegu's behavior really confusses me somtimes. Bosco is very easy to read he's either hungery, doesnt care or ready for attention. lol. Had tegus not for close to 5 years and im still learning.

We have a Cuban Rock Iguana that seems to like human interaction. When I talk to her she turns her head slightly to the side and looks at me like she's really listening. She will run up my arm to my shoulders when ever possible and hang out.

Haha! Mine do the same thing. Wait till they grab onto the screen and hang there and knock lights off and almost hurt themselves cause they want out!! Sounds strange but my little one just learned how to get attention needed to get out from across the room staring at the big one. Spoiled brats..

I've had that happen quite a few times,.. :-D as well as the opposite when they don't want to go back in their enclosure. My other 2 weren't big enough to do this but Dino would spread his rear legs out and try to catch the sides of the door or the enclosure to keep me from putting him back in. He'd do the same when he wasn't ready to come out and I had to do some cleaning.

Gotta love the tail whip once you get'em in there and they walk slowly to their hide or basking spot while looking at you. I miss him!

I agree with them trying to escape the cage, they are smart. Mine jumps on top of the UVB bulb fixture because it hangs lower, and can almost open the top of the cage, If I didnt have locks she would have for sure escaped.

Well i think i just found out why "she" wasn't happy with me. Turns out Aspen is a boy. Wow i feel bad now! So yet another name change and hopfully the last, im gonna go with Rio, think thats fitting for a boy.

Kind of happy of now having to males, although i can not breed blue in the near future there is a better chance that i can house Rio and Bosco togeather in the future. Personalities allowing of course.

My Kimo does something very similar, he is very loud and makes it very apparent when he wants out! I'm just glad I got him young, he's become quite trusting of me already.

I take my extreme giant out in the yard in the sun and when he sees me, he walks to me and he sits on my feet and waits for me to lift him up. I reach my hands down halfway and he meets me the other half and when I pick him up he goes to my shoulder then up on the top of my head
